Road trip!

I feel dumb putting "Road trip!" up there as my title, like someone who is behind the times but finally catches on. Like the people who continue to use the word "dis", as in, "Whoa, what he just said to you was a real dis". Well, it might've been, but the glaring embarassment that is the statement you just utttered makes anything anyone else might've said fade completely in the background. But yes, we are going on a road trip today and I'm excited. It's just a few hours down the road to Athens, Georgia, but we get to see our old friend Sarah. And old friends are something I have never appreciated as much as I do now, living in a new city. Bud has tree business to do there and since my business is rather portable, I'm going along! Did I just say rather? Ala Gwyneth, who'd rather be British? Sorry about that. To prepare for the three hour drive, I ran Copper and Sadie around the tennis courts this morning - not much in the way of dog parks here in the 'Ham - and am about to finish packing us all up (yes, I include the dogs in "us"). I love trips, any kind, short ones, long ones, big fat scary ones like being pointed and laughed at in Paris. If nothing else because when you get back, home looks so good.
