Your face will freeze that way
My dad’s sister is named Aunt Ann. I’m sure at some point she had her own identity, and even now, my little (second) cousins call her Nana but their confusion is not my problem. Aunt Ann has her hair set once a week – and plumps it with her hand in between appointments – and does not pump gas. She has nearly run out on several occasions – before she could find a station that provided full-service. She is excitable and tells the best stories. You will be a Christian around her whether you like it or not and her sense of humor makes it fun to just loll in her presence and wait for her to say something funny or even just laugh at something you said. She worries everything to death and is tenacious in her desire to control – but she controls because she worries because she loves and so it’s hard to not find her endearing (unless you live 2 miles down the road from her and your children are subject to some of her “quirks”).
Her daughter – my first cousin – emails me every few days and more often than not I laugh out loud at her emails because they describe Aunt Ann (Mother to her or Nana to her 2 boys) and some recent event she was forced to take over. Below are excerpts from my cousin’s latest email:
It’s not my fault I am a compulsive worrier by the way!!! I get it from my Mother!!!!! Who by the way told Will (her 9 year old son) the other day that if he shaved his head for baseball to be cool literally cooler not in style cooler that he would more than most likely lose his girlfriend and she would not buy him any more minutes on his cell phone!!!!!!!! Go Nana!!!!
