Thank you Jesus

Yesterday we had an all day "Staff Development" meeting. I'm not sure what all got developed but we had a catered lunch which was nice, a powerpoint presentation where I seriously considered throwing a glass of water in my own face and then break-out group discussions with presentations at the end. As we were listening to the second group present - mine was the first - I became aware of someone in our group who was making supportive noises towards whomever was speaking. As if at a church meeting, she would periodically call out, "that's right!" or "mm hmm" while nodding her head vigorously. I felt my face flush as I waited for her to recognize that what she was doing was not normal in a hotel conference room full of people who would probably choose church over a meeting like this but were in fact not at church. Nope! Throughout each presentation she continued to encourage and witness for us all. "Yes! Uh huh! That's right, that's right! mm huh!"
