Fair and equal

Copper keeps complaining of my obvious favoritism towards Sadie, pointing out the picture of her on the mantle (where there is not one of him) as his example. I agree that it is hurtful, but counter with the fact that everytime I get on the floor to snap a good picture of him, he climbs into my lap. I cannot simultaneously snuggle and take pictures. Today however, the sheer effort to exist overcame him and I was able to take a few pictures without him clambering over to sit on me. Still, I pretended to be examining the fireplace and stayed in a crouching position in order to discourage him from plopping, butt-first, into my lap. And I got the shot and now he can quit sighing in teenage angst that I like Sadie better.
