This is Sophie - she is a scent tracking dog. To be more specific, a pet finding, working dog. Before Sadie came back (on her own no less!), we talked to a pet detective about taking her case. After she showed up at Summer and Browning's place (on her own no less!) I started to think about what a cool job the pet detective I'd talked to had. This morning I got up at 4 AM to drive to Powhatan to shadow a search with her. In August I'm scheduled to take the training which will (hopefully) certify me as a Missing Animal Rescue Technician. I have a feeling it will be more work than I realize. Still, I couldn't be more excited.
