It is terrible to have been did that a way

Since Blacksurg is a college town it does what most college towns do which is to worship it's chosen athletes. For us it's football players. It also extends to our football coach for reasons I don't totally understand. When he opens his mouth to talk he sounds inarticulate at best, blinking crazy at worst. I love all the pre and post partying that comes from the games and it is a lot of fun to have a community wide event where everyone gets caught up in the moment. You see someone throw a football at an old lady's head but hey it's football season, give the guy a break. However, the demi-god worship is kind of embarassing to me. To that end, the coach paid a visit in our office one day - to meet with my boss. My friend Brenda caught wind of the meeting and prepared to hand him a marker and water bottle to sign. I told her if she did in fact ask for his signature that I would walk out of the room and pretend like I didn't know her. To which she replied, "Oh Hope, don't do me that a way" Here is Brenda - trying to hide behind a post to keep me from getting her picture.
