At Laura's wedding there were throw-away cameras on every table. We'd forget about them for a while and then all of a sudden realize we should be taking wedding pictures so we'd snap a bunch and then put them down and repeat the process. Of course, sitting at a wedding table, you are limited in terms of what kind of shots you take. Combined with the feeling of responsibility for finishing the roll and the unlucky couple ends up with a lot of similar and startled looking pictures. Everytime someone would yell out, "Oh crap! We should be taking pictures!" Bud would yank up a camera, get right in my face and SNAP! Laura called today and among other things started listing off the stuff she needed to do post-wedding. One of them was to develop the cameras. I'm hoping next time I go to her house there might be framed close-ups of my face adorning the tables and walls.
The picture at the left isn't (obviously) at Laura's wedding, but is one of Bud's famous close-ups.
