Republicans don't buy Macs

I don’t know why I feel the need to explain, but in case someone who doesn’t know me ever reads this, let me preface this story by saying I consider myself, if I had to define, more of a libertarian politically than anything else. But I can see why someone might think I lean Republican. Anyway.

Bud and I were sitting watching TV a couple of nights ago when one of those PC v. Mac commercials came on. The ones where the younger, much cuter looking guy (wasn’t he on the show Ed?) is standing next to the older nerdy looking one – since the commercial is for Macs, obviously the cool young one represents a Mac computer. Usually the older nerd is sniffling or something to show that PCs develop viruses more easily etc. Since I just bought a laptop, a PC, I’ve been a little obsessed with computers so I said,

“I think next time I get a computer, I’m going to go with a Mac”

To which Bud said, “Republicans don’t buy Macs,”
